Today, WAVjunkie opens its doors to independent artists and music lovers worldwide. It has been a long time coming. And it has been built with a single conviction at its centre: that independent artists deserve better than fractions of a cent.

WAVjunkie is an independent music marketplace. Artists upload their music in WAV format — full quality, exactly as they made it - and sell it directly to listeners. No label cuts. No distributor fees. No algorithm deciding who gets heard.

What makes this different

The referral programme. Every artist who joins WAVjunkie gets a unique referral link once they complete payout setup. Every artist they refer - who joins, completes Stripe onboarding, and has a live track for 14 days - permanently reduces the referring artist's platform fee. From 20% down to 18%, then 15%, then 10% at 25 referrals. That reduction is permanent. It does not expire. It compounds with every sale from that point forward.

Fan Mail. Built directly into the platform. No third-party tool, no CSV exports, no separate subscription. Every artist gets a fan signup page from day one. A direct email channel to the people who chose to hear from them. Not an algorithm. Not a follower count that disappears when a feed changes. A list they own.
